Roll up, roll up as we present the 7th year of All the World's Our Playground Festival . A magical festival of street theatre, circus and fun in the heart of Shepton Mallet programmed by local young people.

Join us on Saturday 18th July from 11am–4pm for a fantastic free day of circus, music, dance, theatre and creativity in the heart of Shepton Mallet.

Now in its seventh year, All the World's Our Playground Festival transforms the Market Place into a vibrant outdoor celebration of creativity, bringing together internationally acclaimed

 

performers, local artists, community groups and young people for a day packed with performances, workshops and family fun.

Whether you're coming for an hour or making a day of it, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. From breathtaking circus and aerial theatre to live music, dance, storytelling, crafts and opportunities to get involved, it's a chance to experience high-quality arts right on your doorstep.

One of the things that makes this festival so special is the way it brings people together. Alongside professional artists from around the world, you'll see local performers, community groups and young people sharing the stage and celebrating creativity together.

​

This year we're delighted to welcome ManoAmano, an internationally acclaimed circus company from Argentina, whose incredible blend of acrobatics, comedy and physical theatre has wowed audiences in more than 37 countries.

​

You'll also be able to watch the premiere of On the Shoulders, a brand-new aerial theatre performance created during a week-long residency at Whitstone School. Students have been working alongside professional artists from Pirates of the Carabina to create and perform this exciting new piece, which premieres at the festival.

 

Harvey Juggling returns after delighting audiences last year with his brilliant mix of juggling, comedy and audience participation, while performances from our own sunRISE Dance Company, a community flashmob, Morris dancers and live folk musicians celebrate the fantastic talent within our own community.

 

The festival isn't just about watching—it's about joining in too. Throughout the day there are plenty of free activities for all ages, including family music workshops with Sing-a-Ling, storytelling and drama with George Oliver, a magical dance workshop with Emma-Jayne, creative craft activities and interactive performances.
