Plays in the Playground brings imaginative theatre into school playgrounds and public spaces. Over the past three years we have been running this programme with Bowlish Infant School working across three primary schools in Shepton Mallet. During this time we have brought some of the South West’s most inspiring and magical theatre companies to young audiences and their families in Shepton Mallet.

All the World's Our Playground

​

We are now working with Bowlish Infant School and five other partner schools in Shepton Mallet on a project called All the World's Our Playground. As well as performances across the six Shepton Mallet schools and playgrounds, All the World's Our Playground will see young people programming work across the town centre and creating an immersive performance in March 2020 featuring students work alongside professional performances. All the World's Our Playground is funded by Arts Council Lottery Projects Funding, Shepton Mallet Town Council, Wells Festival of Literature, Literature Works and Mendip Community Fund.
