El Dia de Los Muertos

In November we welcomed shadow puppet specialist Tallulah Swirls to share some of her magic in Shepton!

Tallulah Swirls, The Mexican Day of the Dead

Sunday 3rd November, 12pm & 3pm

Tallulah Swirls weaved a touching and funny Mexican Day of the Dead tale, using an interactive shadow puppet performance, full of music and light and colour. Followed by a simple shadow puppet making workshop and a chance to make everyones own creations and puppets come to life!

And what a beautiful afternoon it was - as well as learning lots about El Dia de Los Muertos we also talked about celebrating those we've loved. Families made some really beautiful creations - cats, eyes, dragons!

We had a full-house for both shows and everyone learnt lots about the beautiful art of shadow puppetry!

With thanks from The Arts Council, Literature Works, Wells Literature Festival and Shepton Mallet Town Council for their support.
